Others have sugested using the Opera browser.

After doing some tests I have to totally agree with them. I have been using them Opera browser withnflash set on and the desktop option set, andbte browsing experience is great. Hardly any lag, load times not that far off my laptop, and flash on the BBC site working properly without error.

I have not set Opera as default browser yet, but it has moved itself into the first choice browser for me.

The lag in typing has also gone, so I believe the lag has been down to actions the browser must have been doing in the background which Opera is either more eficient at processing or doesn't bother.... doesn't elp my cr@p typing though :-)

I agree, Opera has been easily the best for me.

Tried Chrome, but since the update Chrome no l so longer works. Opera was still better so no lose.

I've set mine as tablet and flash off, this made it even quicker. And its surprising how many sites seem to work fine with flash off, think we so many apple products about sites are moving away from flash.

Which "flavour" of opera? mini or mobile? I use Dolphin on my phone and love it, but using it on the Extreme I constantly get "Dolphin has stopped responding" and have to wait for it to catch up - Although this maybe the Extreme having bad wifi perhaps.

NO!!!!!

Since I wrote this Opera has requested an update. I updated it, and now its as bad as the others....

I'm hoping this is a wifi issue as the signal strength has not been too good (2 bars on the Extreme wifi indicator). Will try later when sitting next to my router and se if it improves.

I had it set to Desktop as I use the BBC site quite a bit, and I HATE their Mobile site. Just like old WAP interfaces....

OK, looks like it was wifi signal. moved close to router and all is great again.

So looks like wifi strenght of 2 bars (or less) really impares the surfing experience. Ok, when I'm downstairs, but not so good upstairs or in my garden.

The 2 ipad 2s I have (well my kids) seem ok upstairs or down. Suppose you get what you pay for :-(

Opera the larger mobile version works well for me except it sometimes drops out to the start screen. This is common on the Daily Telegraph desktop site.

Anybody else getting the problem or got a solution?

Thanks,

Barry.

PS Dolphin not bad but it lost all my Bookmarks after a few days!

Not so sure about Opera now.

Still using it as my 'primary' browser, but it does hang quite a bit, especially if there are lots of images on the web page being rendered. Saying that, it is sill a better browsing experience than Firefox, Chrome or the packaged browser, as they all seem slow, crash and make browsing on the Extreme very frustrating.

Anyone use any other browsers, surly as surfing is a main use of a tablet there has to be browser out there that does it well, even on an Extreme.

I'm using Dolphin almost exclusively now, it seems the best all round performer.

Dolphin didn't lose my bookmarks I'd somehow gone to a blank second page.
