Hi,

New to the forums but hopefully will be a regular reader and contributor if I buy a Scroll Extreme . However, I keep reading conflicting issues about access to the Google Play store. Some people are saying that there is no access, that it has to be through an alternative provider. Some are saying that there is limited access.

Could someone please explain?

Can you get normal access to the Play store? Not being able to access Android Marketplace is a big dealbreaker, I use a LOT of apps and I don't want to be limited by some alternative supplier. All details gratefully appreciated and I apologise if this is a hot topic that I have missed, but most of the posts that I have read have made me more concerned!

The extreme is able to get full acces to market or play as its now called
Its just that you habe to turn on rhe tablet and manually un hide the app takes secondas one you have the app on the screen just sign in and start downloading
As for limoted access there are so many phones that each pme has a fingerint to tell play what the phone or tablet is capable of doing and only shows apps that it knows woll work on it
We have fpumd that many apps work fine even when play won't show them so in order to show these apps that we know will work we change the fongerprint of the devoce and trick play that its seeing the latest superphone from samsung
Lots of apps are visible out of thebox
Ps if you have an andrpid phone ypu can sideload the apps from that device just swap the cards out

Hi,

Out of the box you will get some limited access to Play store (all unofficially tho') - With mods and tweaks (a few on here) etc you will get (almost) full access.

EDIT: Mitre was posting at the same time as me - Just like buses, none then 2 at once LOL

You can access play store straight away out of the box. Just use search, type play and you will see the Play Store. Click that and you're there.

I used ESFilemanager to locate the Play Store then created a shortcut, so I have it on the desktop.

at this moment the Extreme is not being developed as none of the Devs have an Extreme to test any modifications

Just purchased an extreme.
Couldn't bring myself to purchase an iPad because I don't even know whether I have a use for one!
Great value for money (I'm HOPING!)

However. I'm curious to know about the google play store, will Netflix run off it? Thats one of the main reasons I got a tablet, along with web browsing, pdf reading and maybe some blogging.

Try to wipe data/factory reset... Then try to log in again. Sounds like an account issue.
