Would someone mind grabbing StabilityTest from Play and see how long it runs on the normal test? Mine crashes after 39 seconds... I know the CortexA8/Mali-400 chip costs $9 but surely a little more stability than that is expected!

Just did a factory reset and ran again, thinking maybe my CPU is faulty, I also contacted the developer of the app and they say there are no known issues with ICS and by you doing that it sort of proves that really. Cheers btw.

Thinking of either returning the item under the Distance Selling Regulations or maybe sending it back saying it's faulty, but S.O. normally return items back saying they found no fault (from what i've heard).

its how much memory an app can use before it needs to off load it takes a couple of cpu cycles to dump which can be the cause of reeboots and screen freeze the lower the setting the less memory will be taken up by running apps but you lose a bit of battery life mine is set at 64m now
your default at 256 seems high
try 32 see if its better or go to 64

I got a reply from the maker of StabilityTest. I sent a copy of the logs to him, he has said:

"this looks like a problem with the CPU.
I can't say for sure, but the log shows multiple ANR kernel entries
which *can* happen if the cpu clockspeed is too high and stalls the
whole SoC for a moment."

I have installed SetCPU to test if it's more stable at 1.1Ghz - I know the A8 has an absolute MAX of 1.2Ghz....maybe the voltage is not enough...idk lol

lol, yep I think that's the best thing. I have also seen eBuyer expect the user to pay for postage when sending stuff back! Cheers for all the help - debating whether to get a replacement or refund
