Just for information. The first one I had was totally dead when I tried to turn it on after the initial charge. Ebuyer have tested it and have told me there is no fault on it. They maintain it fired up and worked faultlessly as soon as it was switched on. They are deducting £10 return postage from my refund.
It is of course impossible for meh to refute their findings.

Their second one I returned was accepted as faulty and refunded.

I was worried that they wouldnt find the fault on mine, as it is tricky to replicate, being an area where touch doesnt respond.

So I videod the problem and put a copy of the video on the tablet, explaining exactly that in a letter I put in the box.

Just have this funny fealing they will say was not problem.... Will have to wait and see.

Have also uploaded video to YouTube, so that I can email them a link in chance of dispute. Here's the link if anyone interested (http://youtu.be/1heOSFkf7iE )

This isnt looking too good is it....

Out of 10 polled we have 60% returns, with 20% just putting up with fault. Only 2 have fault free Extremes.

Those stats being on the individual not number of devices. With 1 person returning 2 devices, the stats are of this poll (so far) are :-

perfect Extreme - 18%
Faulty Extreme - 82%

This is not a good result....

Not going to update this post, as it was correct at time of posting, and editing it may alter subsequent posts. Since the stats, the number of returns have increased against which increases Faulty Extremes to OVER 82%.

Living with faults, perhaps I'm hoping for an update.

I personally think it's completely unfair to try and suggest this poll its in any way going to be a fair representation of extreme owners as generally I'd imagine at least half of the votes come from people who searched 'scroll extreme fault' or something similar. there could be 1,000 completely satisfied customers happily using their fault free scrolls who may never know of the reported faults.

and I'm saying this as someone living with a faulty unit.

You could be right. But that could be said for any poll. I still think for the sample taken it is an alarmingly high number of faults being reported and they are common faults, which indicate a quality problem.

Tried using it with wireless on in the living room. Had a couple of drop-outs but then that's not surprising as the same thing used to happen to the PC in there before I switched to powerline ethernet.

I had a couple of drop outs, but I put that down to my Sky Broadband and the crud router they supply which you must use (part of the contract). I know of some who use different routers on Sky, some have been contacted by Sky telling them they are in breach of agreement and they must use the Sky supplied router, others haven't. Seem to be a lottery on whether they chase you or not.

The Sky router can only cope with 4 concurrent attached devices. You can have more, I got 13 at the moment, from PC, Laptop, iPads, games consoles to Internet TVs. BUT they are not all sending/receiving traffic concurrently. When they do, 1 usually drops out. Have seen this and tested it, so I put the drop out of my (returned) Extreme down to that. But I will test and keep an eye out on the replacement, as if it drops out when I'm only one using the Internet, I will get suspicious.

I've just been getting to grips with the tablet since i got in this evening. Fortunately at this point i haven't suffered any of the major problems seen on this forum. It streams well through youtube HQ, i installed firefox off of google-play and both work really well. The browsing on FF is far superior to that of the pre-installed browser. Facebook, Kindle and twitter are all good to go and the live wall paper is amazing lol spesh the fish :D

Anyway if anyone would like me to test things out - as in non-destructive-testing then just shout!!! and i'll do my best to accommodate.
