Flixster Issues.

Postby thelibrarian » August 28th, 2012, 7:17 pm

Has anybody else experienced issues with Flixster on the Extreme tablet? The app installs correctly and shows my purchased/activated UltraViolet content, but when I select the "Watch Now" button, it spawns an "Intializing..." popup for a few seconds, which then disappears, and nothing else happens.

The unit is less than a month old, running ICS 4.0.3 without modification from the factory install.

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

I am not sure about the Extreme, but a lot of Scroll tablets are rooted out of the box.
Flixter has this to say:

"For security and stability reasons, we do not currently support streaming or downloading of movies on rooted devices. You'll need to update to an official Android release to watch movies in your UltraViolet collection."

May be the problem ?
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

Looks that way. Thanks for the speedy reply by the way. I wasn't aware that the tablet was rooted, fairly new to Android. As for the excuse, sorry reason, I suspect it's more of an anti-piracy aspect rather than any kind of stability or performance concerns. Hey ho.
