Scroll Extreme Dying/randomly turning off

At a bit of a loss. My extreme has had many problems: buzzing speaker, keyboard lag (much reduced thanks to a few tweaks)

Now it's dying. It keeps just turning itself off as if the battery is dead. However, it reads at between 48 - 57% charged. Do you think this is giving me an incorrect reading and the battery is infact empty or is this a genuine fault? It tends to happen when browsing...

Mine also reboots, doesn't matter if I am playing games, browsing facebook or if it's sitting doing nothing - it will reboot.
