Scroll Extreme Keyboard Lag

Hi all,

First time poster and new to the forum. Purchased an Extreme about a week ago. A couple of problems with it including the buzz noise but not too bothered about that. What I am concerned about is the lag I have on the keyboard. When working in various office suites (Kingsoft, Quickoffice Pro HD...) text typing gets very laggy once I've got more than around 50 words. I have tried the various fixes such as..portrait mode, disabling spell correction, I've also tried 3 different keyboards from Google Play. I have this fault using both on screen and physical keyboard. Does anyone have any other fixes and if not do I have to install a custom ROM of 4.0.4? If I have to...does anyone have a decent guide on how to do that with the Extreme?

Welcome to the forum.
That keyboard lag you are experiencing is unfortunately a fault of the firmware.
When ICS was released by the geniuses, Dave(R.I.P) and Suggsy. The Excel suffered from the same problem.
Now with the recent firmware update by Suggsy, 99% of the lag uas gone, and typing is a joy again. Especially with Super Keyboard Pro.
I dare say, eventually, someone will come up with an updated firmware, with a newer Kernel.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I only have the Excel.

Sorry for the delay.
I don't believe anyone has come up with better firmware for the Extreme as yet. And don't rely on SO to supply it

Someone will come up with better firmware for your tablet, sooner or later though

My Extreme has just arrived in the post and I don't see any lag when typing, but I will keep testing.
