Hi All,

A friend at work bought the 8GB Excel from Amazon, but seems to have an issue with his SD card.

Here is his build info:

Model: M701C
Android 4.0.3
Base Band 1.0
Kernel Version: 3.0.8+
Build Number: 97F1-D1-H2-H01-N413.20120314

Weirdly, his Kingston CLASS 10 32GB SD card works in my EXCEL, and my SanDisk CLASS 4 32GB SD card works in his Excel... but his SD card doesn't get recognised by his Excel.

The first time he plugged it in it said SD card error please reinsert but was never recognised after that what so ever….

Any ideas? I am thinking the OS system/build?

Also, we could just swap cards? I get a Class 10 rather than a Class 4, and he gets a working SD card ?

Perhaps you could try to factory reset the device and re-format the sdcard to fat ? See if that helps?

He's tried numerous formats and none of them worked. Tried a factory reset and no change...

We have tried doing a complete shut down, then inserting then switching on and that didn’t make a different either

Any other ideas...think we may just swap cards

Yes, I would swap it for another and see if that works.
If the class 4 works on his, then acquire his class 10
