Official Factory Stock Image 2.3.4

OK, not quite what you want, but it's identical to the factory scroll excel image apart from the Boot Loader screen, which obviously displays the Tablo logo.

http://www.box.co.uk/Downloads/tablo-23-rom.zip

It does beg the question, if box.co.uk can release the factory official build for the Tablo TAB012, why can't Scroll?

I couldn't get the navigation to work on my Tablo running ICS 4.0 using the Momo9 build, I saw this post so I thought I'd try it out, it works a treat, so I can easily re-flash my Tablo unit safe in the knowledge that I can always, easily get it back to a factory stock build, even though it has all the lip synch and no video on Skype type problems!

Cheers, nice find - Does this one require livesuite to flash it, or is it done via recovery, ie UPDATE.zip

UPDATE: - From seeing the file now, it must be via livesuite only.

Hi Charlie

Yes, I just used livesuite in the normal way, very simple to use and very quick, it works a treat.

I have noticed that Android.Commander seems to have a built-in flasher. Hopefully it will handle the Excel.

Hi guys,

I work on the box forum under the name Andrew. See you have linked to our firmware.

Its not a problem, just wanted to pop by and let you know that as far as I know it should work on the Excel as I believe the hardware is exactly the same (if not very very similar).

Hi Andy,

Welcome to the forum.

Can you please "throw any light" on how you know it is the same device? (ie where it comes from etc)

A few people on this great forum may be aware that I emailed Storage Options regarging the lack or firmware for our tablet.
Anyway this is the response I got.
—-----------—--------—--------—----—----

Good afternoon

The app you used is not a general every day app it’s for rooting a device which invalidates any warranty. Messing around with that kind of software is at your own risk!
------—------—------—------—------—------—------—------—-------—-------
Talk about short and sweet.
Needless to say I have sent a reply.

While I understand these apps invalidate warranties apparently. What I don't understand is the lack of response regarding stock firmware.

It's a simple question. Like I said other importers seem to manage it just fine.

I cant really go into detail just that there are a lot of devices with the same hardware. Can be manufactured by different factories but with the same spec/design.

Hi Andy,

I take your point.

We are pretty sure we know where they come from anyway, just trying to confirm it.

I have to say, the secrecy surrounding the origin of these tablets astounds me. I personally deal with lots of major mobile phone manufacturers who sell literally millions of handsets a year between them. Even if they are "rebranded" handsets (think t mobile pulse etc) the manufacturers are quite happy to divulge their origin.

I am fully aware of the constraints of non-disclosure agreements, but they only apply, in my case, to research/ development and most of the service materials (ie the actual service software). Could you possibly advise as to why the origin is so secret? ie is it NDA's or "brand protection"?
