Preparing emails off line

Hi all - slowly getting used to Android (sort of, it seems a bit claustrophobic cf XP :-)) I'm sure the Excel is going to come into its own when we are travelling around Europe - much easier to carry around to free WiFi spots etc. What I would like to do is prepare emails off line and then send them when we have a WiFi connection but no idea how to do this. I guess I need a basic writing/note taking app but can I then copy and paste the text into an email window, or is there another way to do this?
Cheers

OK - should have done this first - found an app called "Copy Paste It" - I guess the clue is in the title :-) so, if I match this with a basic writing app I should be good to go. I'll post back with how I get on but would welcome feedback from anyone who is already into this.

For a good free note app - that I i use is 'Note Everything' - you can also use it as a drawing board.

GMail app also works offline. Emails will be sent the next time you have a WiFi connection.
