Attention Android Experts!

Postby Fonefixer » January 23rd, 2012, 6:08 am

Been having a poke around the files inside my excel and found a couple to be of interest, but I need an android expert to take a look :D

3ginfo.txt

This file lives in the system/etc folder. It may point to 3g modems that are compatible with this device. If anyone has one could they please test. The spelling mistakes are not mine, the file is copied "as is"

The file looks like:
Code: Select all
Use: Just inert the below doogles
HuaWei wcdma:
E220
E230
E180
E1550
E1630
E1750
E1782
E1820

Audio issues.

I found a couple of files in system/lib/soundfx that looked interesting. Anyone have an idea if they could be responsible for the audio lag?

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

@ Fonefixer - I've seen those Huawei files too and am pretty sure they relate to 3g dongles.

Have a look at https://scrolltabletforum.sevo.uk/site/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=1928 where we discussed 3g dongles. Huawei's seem to be the only one's working... maybe these are the drivers.

Nice find Dave :D

That confirms what Excel was saying in another topic about 3g dongles.

Well being far from an Android expert, I can't comment. But I will say, that the audio driver lives in /system/lib/

But that's probably obvious :(
