regarding bluetooth is this a software issue we can overcome in the system or is there hardware missing from the board

Edit; the scroll sends power to my bluetooth mini dongle so maybe we can get this fixed maybe we can change build prop
nice dev project to get our teeth into

By the looks of it its a software issue. I tried to find a 2.3.4 Bluetooth.apk but couldn't. I did find one in the xda forum but it wouldn't install. It does give power to my bluetooth dongle as well.

I thought that you needed the BT drives to use the dongle pre-complied into the Android OS - to get them to work.

So you would need the driver for the dongle the OS source code - add the driver in and then re-compile it (more to it than that, but that's the gist of it)

well i took the plunge and bought this http://www.amazon.co.uk/2-4GHz-Wireless ... 335&sr=8-1
what a peice of kit the track pad works well tap to select
it seems to have gone up by £2 prob sold out and different seller but still worth £22
function (F) and enter is alt/ctrl/del and shuts down Excel(no end key as in bucky's hope i can find a way to close excell not shut down
US keyboard layout so no £
has some multimedia funtions too
Also works with scroll 7" resistive
and you know the best bit if i plug it into the usb port on my panasonic tv not only can i control tv funtions and search you tube iplayer etc but i can also control my blue-ray player it must be forwarding the comands through the HDMI cable WHAT A BONUS!! :D
the usb is tiny :D and it comes in a nice box if you're giving as a gift
only gripe and i'm really nit picking is that the supplied lead has a miro usb and female usb at one end and a male usb at the other but the micro is only for charging the unit so you cant plug the micro into the excel you have to use the OTG cable supplied with the excel

I've just hooked up a Western Digital (My Book Essential) USB External Hard Drive to the Excel and it works like a charm. That's 3tb (2.7tb in the real world) of data!

MX Video sees and plays video fine (the lip sync issue is still there), I now need to find a music player that will see the files on the external drive... individually, they play okay through the file manager app.
