Wireless Issue - Scroll Excel 3D Tablet

Hi All,

I have the new Scroll Excel 3D Tablet. Does anyone have a issue with the device picking up your wireless connection, this happens at 3 different houses which i have connected too which are set to re-connect automatically, so i dont believe its a router/channel issue.

The wireless issue is this:

The issue appears to work when trying to connect to another wireless router, for example, if i am using my router A, then go round the house with router B, it should just connect like my phone/laptop. However, when i press the power button on, slide the bar to unlock and go into the wireless settings because it wont connect, it does see wireless router however will not connect, so i turn the wifi off, back on, which scans but still doesnt connect. Press the power button off and back on, the wireless scans again then connects. This method works when moving to any of the wireless routers, which i am guessing is not right,

Please could someone let me know if a fix is availble?

Thanks

Az

Is it just the two different locations. You have tried it at? i.e. it works at your house but will not work at your mate's house?

Or have you tried it at more locations?

I ask because it may just be the channel at your mate's house (there is a nearby rooter broadcasting on the same channel or the channel is above 11)

I would agree with Hexhunt on this problem. I did have the same issue. I downloaded a free wireless scanner on my laptop to look at the local routers and channels in use in my area. Channel 11 is used by many routers by default. I changed the channel on my router to one outside of the scan results and it has been stable since.

Just google Free Wireless Scanner.

Hi,

It happens at 3 different houses. I can do a wireless scan, the chances of changing the channel is slim because its someone elses router. I have mailed this fault and also my new one which is the tablet rebooting while using it,

Thanks

It seems that they have not quite got it right with some of them, if I used mine for something like my IP CCTV I then have to reboot the tablet before I can use the Internet for facebook or anything like that. I'm going to have a look later to see if I can set it up with a wireless dongle or something like that so it's not so temperamental.

I get an issue if I leave the Excel locked for a while and unlock it the wifi has disconnected and doesn't reconnect until I turn the wifi off then on again or sometimes I need to restart the device.
