it won't recognise it on sd card..do i have to rename 4.0.4 as update.zip?

You shouldn't have to do any renaming if you have downloaded the right file from here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/62587913/Scroll ... 0.4_RC.zip

Simply put this on your External SD card then run the update as explained in the previous post.

i like it but still trying to find a media player that plays everthing..few files won't play on anything..those that do are in sync so far

Try this one Free - I find it does what I need.
Slide finger up/down on screen left for brightness up/down
Slide finger up/down on screen right for volume up/down

When you first run it tell it to scan your device for files - or set default folder where you put your movies.

Not sure what you mean by applying this patch?
If you mean you want to change from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich to fix lipsync problems on your Excel then you need to follow this thread viewtopic.php?f=55&t=3190 which leads on to these files: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3012&p=24501#p24501

thanks for the help. No my problem is the same lip sync because i've a set top of box based on allwinner a10 like your tablet and a geek posted that he fixed this lip sync by using this Scroll_Excel_4.0.4.zip so i wanna use this "patch" to fix this annoying problem.

But this "Scroll_Excel_4.0.4.zip" is a rom for your Excel device (a tablet)?

Hi Gabriele, yes - the links I posted for you are for the Scroll Excel not other devices so you are wise to ask more about them.

If the manufacturer of your set-top box offers support then you need to update your operating system to either 4.0.3 or preferably 4.0.4 in order to resolve the lipsync issues.

You may also run into difficulties with Adobe Flash (which you will need) as they have stopped support for android. The last version was v 11 and some apps will not still work with the earlier versions (i.e. v10).

You may find a download on the internet if you search.
