IOC - yep, your were lucking to get that - Out of interest, what tool did you have to use to flash the rom, or did they supply it on an update.zip? - Also does your Tablo suffer from the audio out of sync issues like the Excel?

I used livesuit and yes same audio sync issues on iplayer and certain movie files with Tablo (but not all).

I have an iPad 2 myself and the Tablo is for the Mrs so its not a major issue for me. I personally think these issues will be fixed at some point with either firmware updates or software player updates. If not then I may get a Kindle Fire for the Mrs when they come out over here. Cant justify an iPad for the amount she uses it (plus she is not very careful with her electrical devices, god knows how many mobiles she has busted over the years).

There is a good chance Tablo will get ICS at some point in the future from what I have heard, hoping the proper release will be THE fix for these issues plus offer a better all round tablet experience (judging from the version I tried Momo are almost there!)

Big thank you to everyone, I have been watching this poll like some sort of John Carpenter inspired stalker for weeks now, to help decide whether to make the punt for the Scroll Excel.

Really disappointed to see SO's approach to updating, and in this case it's cost them a customer. I've decided to buy the sumvision cyclone astro tablet. I would've spent the extra £30 for additional support from SO but it seems very slow in coming. What really tipped me over the edge was seeing this;

MOD EDIT: (link removed)

Apologies for lack of hyperlinking skills, I'm pretty much a troll. it might be hilariously patched on, but clearly they're indicating an impending update to ICS (or IC by their graphic!)

Thanks again gents, you're some pretty damn smart fellas!

Another Excel lookalike.
Maybe we could pinch ICS off this tablet, as and when it becomes available?

Hi - followed a link in the review (https://forums.ebuyer.com/showthread.ph ... tro-Review) for the Astro tablet mentioned above : http://www.pandawillforum.com:8081/show ... S-firmware

This seems to be a link to update the firmware with various contributions on how to do it? (MoAnsar on page 5 seems to get a few votes for best explanation) I'm downloading it (very slow) from the link: http://narod.ru/disk/37649199001/MOMO9C ... n.rar.html

Slow download and TBH I'm not going anywhere near it until one of the experts out there takes a look see :-)

Thought it might be interesting?

A member on this forum (Johnny) with a Tablo (a Scroll clone) has tried that FW version and, he reported that it was not very good - still needs a lot of work.

I'm not sure if this has been referenced here before, but Ployer are offering what could be a possible 'production' version of an upgrade to ICS for its tablets, including the 'Excel alikee' Momo9.

The page link is: http://www.ployer.cn/android4.0.asp#xin, with a download link near the foot of the page.

If you do download the update, make sure you get the right one, there are 3 versions for different devices. Performing a Google Translate on the page helps enormously.

For anyone tempted to upgrade, I would recommend waiting for the Mods to offer an opinion on this version of ICS, otherwise you may end up with a bricked device.
