Can any brave ICS users confirm that Google Calendar syncs OK please.

Great news, especially as others on the other forum who tested ICS on the Mormon reported the calendar wasn't syncing.
Thanks for the head's up.

Skype Video Calling Fixed. Video Lip Sync Fixed BUT ....

I believe location based services are actually gained from WIFI.
When Google drove around the streets years ago for Street View, it came out that they were also gathering WIFI signal data.
So there must be a system .apk missing in ICS that enables the WIFI location.
my Nokia 5800 has the same feature.
Even though it has GPS, it can also get a position based on WIFI location.
I just don't know when it comes to Android, where the file is.

Just a little update on this. Googles new T&C's starting in March. They make mention of the service being location aware, using both GPS and WiFi signals. It intimates that even if you've got GPS on your phone, it still collects the WiFi info "for better accuracy" so it would appear that there still mapping WiFi node addresses as we speak!

Yes, as I mentioned elsewhere, apparently adding _NOMAP to the end of the ssid of your wifi router, you can opt out.

Hi.
I don't know how important not having this facility is.
But I may have stumbled across a way to fix the location services, that are not working on ICS?

Anyway, if anyone wants to try this, I have uploaded the system application here: http://db.tt/sZkgTz0Z
I must stress, that I am not running ICS, so I have no way of confirming that this works.
1. Uncheck Settings->Location services->Google's location service
2. Mount /system readwrite in ADB.
3. Push NetworkLocation.apk to /system/app
4. Run CHMOD 0644 on /system/app/NetworkLocation.apk
5. Reboot the Excel.

Alternatively a more simple approach for those that just love the GUI (me included). You can simply use my new favourite tool Android Commander to push the apk to /system/app (no need to mount as read/write as it does it automatically. (If this file exists, then back it up first, and overwrite)
Then simply select this file that you just pushed, right-click, select properties, and change permissions to the following;
0644
[t] [t] [ ]
[t] [ ] [ ]
[t] [ ] [ ]

Who knows, this may fix the location issues.
Not exactly the end of the world, not having this function, but handy nevertheless :)
I hope it works.

Ok, I know that this thread is not really about skype anymore, however did anyone succeed in fixing the lack of video in Skype on Android 2.3.4?

Not that I know of, but we are working on fixing the issues for 2.3.4 (Skype video being one of them) - However it is going slowly.

Slightly off topic, but I just tried an app the Market called Seen.
This seems to be for video chat over Facebook.
I used the built in test option, and it picked up the camera and Mic fine.
Now I need to get my mate to fire up his Facebook account to test it properly.
If I can get him off Facebook games anyway.
So if it does work, its official. Skype is a pain in the a$#
