ok so maybe my idea was not thought out very well......lol

flashed tablo image which indeed sets the recovery back to stock, but then I realised I couldnt flash the other files as there is no option........dohhhh

maybe this is why some devs like to put cpio into /xbin not /bin can we change the cpio to direct it that way?
as for getting back to stock we will have to re think im out till later but wil have a think
@ suggsy69 did you get the link to your update.zip or did that have the cwm5 pre installed

Yeah mate, but it was a backup, how the hell ive lost it i do not know?

im wondering if you can chmod push the Excel boot and system files to youre (sudo Tablo) /dev/block and then reeboot??

What commands would that be? I researched all last night trying to do it..

adb shell dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/nandf
adb shell dd if=/mnt/extern_sd/recovery-dump.img of=/dev/block/nandf


Apparently the above commands "should work" but i couldnt get it to.

The only other way i could think of was to

adb shell
flash_image recovery recovery.img


But that gave me an error regarding partitions

think this will work if you put recovery.img onto sd card

flash_image recovery /extsd/recovery.img
exit
adb shell
cd system
su
mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/nandf /system
rm recovery.img
mount -o ro,remount /dev/block/nandf /system
exit
exit

stupid question may that be cos you have reversed your sd & extsd?? or not or is the string totally wrong

Im using Tablo Stock Firmware no mods, it complains about the PARTITIONS.
