@Mitre - I have just flashed your CWM5 backup, then connected to wifi, and started testing:-

Via the stock browser - on blinkbox.com - I used the same tv program as in all my tests.

It seems that the picture quality is not as good , but still very watchable (this could just to be with streaming bandwidth at the time of testing) The lip-sync was there. However it is much less noticeable than before - it's like a 0.3ms delay at times, rather than where I was experiencing a 1sec delay most if not all the time.

Also iplayer through the web (not the app) the picture quality is the same (very good) and the lip-sync is a lot less noticeable again - It happens sometimes, but a very small delay.

I think I will be sticking with this version and testing more - but so far it is much much better, from this initial test.

Nice one Mitre :D

It transpires that your scroll does indeed have earlier firmware on it Mitre, all others from the second shipment had a later firmware. SO have been told of our findings and are looking into it.

they could simply download my backup. zip and sign it and call it an update.zip :) or rather downdate.zip
if we dont do it first
I would like to know what was changed Charlie says the video Quality is slightly down on my fw compared to his
so maybe they tweaked the video libs on the second batch trying to improve video quality and in doing so caused this sync problem
I would think that a lot of these factories use the same software developers for the kernel build and this is why the problem is accross so many different tablets on similar hardware

Only the video quality was down on blinkbox (that was just due with bandwidth at the time) as it has got better now - iplayer via the web was still great.

It looks like that the libaudio.so (and possibly others) are different on Mitres build.

What we need to improve this more - is a copy of the file libaudio.so from an Excel or Tablo with ICS - (tbh I could do with the all of system/lib/* ) Then I can use those .so files on the 2.3.4 excel to hopefully get rid of the audio issue :D

Who has an Excel or Tablo with ICS???

@Fonefixer or Mitre - Do you guys know how I can open that momo9 image? - It gets flashed via a program like odin.

Luckily enough the kids haven't got nowhere near my beloved tablet as yet. Although I did let the youngest swipe the screen :-) Which she proudly announced to everyone else, lol.

I think only @rayhertford and @johnny have declared they've got ICS running thus far.

You really seem to be onto something with the firmware differences... hope it pans out!
