Hi Hexhunt

See my post on the second page of this thread. All the info you need is shown there with all the download URL's.

When you apply this image your SO becomes a Galaxy Tab so SO updates will be ignored. If SO release their own ICS for the scroll excell, you should be able to reflash the SO unit as a standard unit. A lot of "if's" there mind you!

Fair enough, BBC Local Radio Streaming, no lipsync on movie playback and Skype Video working were the big drivers behind my decision to apply the update. My other big use is YouTube and that works fine with ICS. The BBC iplayer would have been nice but I'm not too bothered about it and I'm sure someone, somewhere will sort that issue out soon.

ive only just picked up on this I have had Tunin radio on my Excel since i got it in December so there must be a difference between your Tablo firmware and the Excel

Hi Mitre

No tune in radio wouldn't list within the standard market place on 2.3.4 It wouldn't list in the new android market place either, but does after ICS.

Maybe Tablo and Scroll Excel have a different id but I thought they were the same. TBF I think the script which changes the id from a momo9 to a GT, has more effect on the unit than the actual upgrade to ICS itself.

You can see tunein radio and more apps in the market place now is not because of ICS - It because the build.prop has the id of GT-9100 (Samsung Galaxy S 2 with 2.3.4) - with the build.prop I have done for the Excel (now a Nexus S) we have more access to app's too - before this the tunein radio app was pre-loaded on to the Excel by SO.

So you are right, the upgrade to ICS - has nothing to do with being able to get more apps. But the ICS does fix Skype and lip-sync, just a shame there is no flash on it at the mo'

@rayhertford - Thanks, I thought it probably would be 11.1.xx or above, but if it hadn't have been, that might have provided a clue as to the Flash issue.

I'm really pleased that you had the courage to try the ICS update and risk bricking your device. Your reward is now that you've got the Excel you wanted... enjoy it. I'm sure others will join your rather exclusive club as time progresses.

According to a bout of Googling, the latest version of Adobe Flash (Version 11.1.111.5) is 4.0 compatible.
But yet again, some people have flashed ICS onto their devices, installed the Flash update from the Market, rebooted, and Flash worked. But of course on some other devices it didn't.

The Google positioning without GPS as I said earlier knows where you are from the WIFI SSID's around you.
BTW, you can opt out of Google using your WIFI in this way, by adding _NOMAP to the end of your WIFI's SSID
This is an interesting tool. You can find out if Google collected your WIFI location here, when they drive up and down our streets :)

@rayhertford

Could you tell me if the Google Calendar is working on ICS?
I have read somewhere that for one person at least, Google Calendar had stopped working.

Thanks.

you say thet you have Full Market place accsess now, is that just becosue it thinks your tablet is some thing its not - i.e. if you install some thing that would not normaly work you find it still will not work?

I really hope that makes sense.
