Sorry, I forgot they are sometimes named differently in TB.

[Voicemail] Dialler 2.3.4 = phone.apk

[SMS/MMS/APN] Dialler Storage 2.3.4 = telephonyprovider.apk

No mms.apk that I can see. (FF was right on that)

i have froze the 2 files and didnt get even 1FC. i then rebooted.

is there a way i can make sure that it has worked as i was hoping even the symbol at the top showing the data connection with a little cross would disappear also. not a big problem but annoying i guess.

you could find out whats using the battery now you got CWM5 boot into recovery and toggle to advanced then go to delete/wipe battery stats then reboot now you can check in the settings whats using battery

Maybe those apps where never running to start with, or the freeze did not work.

I thought that you should not rename the CWM backups as this corrupts the Checksum ?? or was that just with the CWM for the 1st gen Scroll?

you can rename the CWM backups but be shure there are no spaces i use the minuss ign to separate words and not too long a name i have always done it on both scrolls no probs
when i first did it last year got the MD5 checksum error but i had spaces or a # sign or something like that the minus sign is ok
so much easier to call it something you can identify ;)

Cheers for that info, that will make it easier than trying to remember what backup date = what backup version.

According to the system panel app phone.apk is running. Will try renaming it later but i dont really want to go down the cwm route.

Make sure you keep a copy of the phone.apk on your PC (just incase you need it) even if you are only rename the phone.apk

You got the SDK-tools and set up for ADB?
