Yarvik Stock 4.0.4 for Excel - Discussion

Not sure why you two have issues with JB CM10 as mine is stable apart from the odd crash of the stock browser (which is no different to when I was on 2.3) - I did however, get CM10 on my Excel a different way (via Yarvik 4.0.3 TAB264 rom), so maybe that helps.

Firstly just to say, check this forum most days and appreciate the efforts off everyone.
It’s a lot quieter than a year or so ago, so just giving my thanks and support.
Finally took the plunge yesterday and upgraded my Excel from the stock Gingerbread to this Yarvik Firmware.
So far works great, really pleased, just like getting a new Tablet at zero cost !

Funny – absolutely right, BBC iplayer app was the first thing I tried !
Before, the lip-sync issue for me made it unusable in that regard.
Now many happy hours playing. Thanks again.

Can anybody confirm if the WiFi tethering and 3g dongle works on this Rom.

Or do I need to do anything special to get it to work.

After using the Yarvik stock 4.0.4 ROM for a while now I have been keeping my eyes on the forum over there, as I expect others have to.

I saw this thread which links to a JellyBean 4.1.1 image ported from a Tab 364.

I was going to give it a try but wanted to see if anyone else has already given it a whirl before I take the plunge?

Ran the Polish? thread through Google translator and didn't see any negative feedback.

Thanks Trashcooky. I only have the excel boards set up as favourites so don't venture out side. That will teach me.

The lounge is always worth keeping an eye on as new stuff often originates there.
