When you get the device connecting sound look in device manager on your pc is the driver actualy loaded or do you have a yellow exclaimation mark ?

also are you running 32bit or 64bit win 7 ultimate ?

Thanks for the reply Wickedweasal

Already checked device manager and no exclamation marks. It is a 32bit pc.

I am at work at the moment so have tried on my 64bit pc with Windows 7 Professional.

Installed the Android drivers and the 64 bit Livesuit ones.

Tried again, but the same result - device connecting sound, Scroll screen stays blank and nothing else happens.

I must be doing something wrong, but I do not know what.

Thanks

I spent all day struggling with the same problem on friday only thing I could put it down to was my work pc was windows 7 64bit and my home was 32bit. It worked first time at home but I spent all day trying to get it to work properly in the office.

one thought what is the device detected as in device manager when booting into ADB mine shows as USB Device(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8) you will find it under Universal Serial Bus Controllers

Thanks Wickedweasal

Just tried it on home pc (32bit) and it shows up the same as yours - USB Device(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8)

Livesuit does not appear to recognise my device.

This is a long shot, but try connecting to livesuite with your PC antivirus disabled, worth a try.

Just tried a hard reset, but still nothing.

Just a thought.

After selecting the disc image in Livesuit, if I click on 'sysupdate' I get an error message telling me that 'Image file invalid'.

Should this happen, even though it has not recognised my device as being connected or have I got a problem with Livesuit?

Thanks

No the image file invalid is normal I was getting the same.

You could maybe try deleating the drivers and reinstalling everything see if that works
