I thought that the 2nd link in the 1st post on this page was the ICS for momo9 that has working market/skype/flash in it - I could be wrong, I have looked at a few at the weekend.

Pandawill wrote:Hey, we managed to update this firmware to Ployer MOMO9.
It is awesome!!!! Fast speed, pretty UI. Wifi and camera both work well. To our surprise, it supports flash player and can play online videos smoothly!!!!

That quote is from the 1st post on the 2nd page.

Going by the posts on the pandawill forum it would seem that this upgrade is causing problems , which indicate that this upgrade is flawed.

@scrollbob - I think you are right.

There are too many versions of momo9 ICS floating about, I get confused - Maybe it was firmware on the SlateDriod forum that works ok, but that could be for momo7.

UPDATE: Is it this one from here:

http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/26218-m ... ntry284134

But reading it again, it does not say one way or another whether Flash works.

you should just be able to get flash from market as the cpu is flash compatible
the other thing every ICS user is complaining about is lower battery life and the device running hot

Hi All

I've no problems with my tab running ICS other than the two issues I mentioned earlier. :)

I think a lot of people posting on that forum are trying flash the image onto an incompatable device, or using the wrong file version and possibly, having done so, not applying the Lordsbm scripts. My unit woked fine, it was really quick to do. As I stated earlier, Navigation doesn't work, and Flash doesn't seem to work either but that is a known issue with ICS and adobe's intention to go HTML5. I can live with those minor issues as the Full Market place, audio lipsync and Skype Video clients now work fine. email works, calendar sync works, Tune In Radio works, YouTube works, wireless lan works, battery useage is fine, I can't see any other problems other than the two I've mentioned. The response and performance is the same on my tab as it was on 2.3.4

Here is the file I installed (rather than the chinese file which takes hours, or the 159MB file which is a basic ICS only image and of no real use). Download it from this Russian looking site

http://narod.ru/disk/37649199001/MOMO9C-4-Kevin.rar.html

Download the LiveSuite Utils from here:-

http://freakshare.com/files/f6gye096/LiveSuitPack_v1.07.rar.html

and follow MoAnsar instructions on page 5 of this forum:

http://www.pandawillforum.com/showthread.php?8010-Finally!!!-MOMO9-Android-4.0.1-ICS-firmware/page5

(Summary below)

Take the best version

Momo9 owners - to upgrade the firmware here seem the best summary
(from miljenko, Pandawill, myself and others)

STEP 1 Download the Firmware: MOMO9 ANDROID 4.0.1 ICS with market

STEP 2 Download and install LiveSuitPack 1.07
http://freakshare.com/files/f6gye096/Li ... 7.rar.html

Guide:

Prepare the files
1. Extract the firmware so you can see the image named "MOMO9C-4-Kevin"
2. Install LiveSuitPack 1.07
2. After running the exe go to the folder and run the application (LiveSuit.exe approx. 2mb)
3. Browse to the folder where the image MOMO9C-4-Kevin
4. The tablet should be off

Prepare the Momo9
5. Whilst keep volume+ button pressed, plug it in via USB
6. Keep pressing the volume+ button and also press the power button time for 10 times
7. After several presses on the power button there will be a "sound" it connects as Windows recognises
new USB hardware
8. Windows 7 will install drivers automatically, in Windows XP you need to point windows to the
directory where you extracted software
9. When all the drivers are installed, the firmware will start to install automatically

Finishing the Installation
10. There will be no sign of loading on the Momo9 - don't worry
11. On the PC, LiveSuit shows a bar graph - it takes about 2 mins to go onto the Momo9
12. After the yellow bar on Livesuite is completed action (about 2 mins) nothing happens.
13. You will see an exclamation mark (using Windows 7) with no text. Click OK.
14. Then wait a few seconds. Unplug the momo9 from the USB. You will see a green battery symbol.
Ignore it. Restart the tablet manually (as normal using the on/off button).
15. After this, you will be given two options, click start using android wizard (or something similar).

Everything should be included (Market, Navigation, Maps etc) Enjoy it!

TOTAL TIME INCLUDING DOWNLOADS 20 minutes maximum.

If you wish (I did), after flashing, then run Lordsbm Script file to make it into a GT-19100 and add full market place, download the script from here:- http://www.mediafire.com/?w6qsna4t3egdixe

Lordsbm instructions are here http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/27202-scripts-lordsbm-script-for-all-allwinner-a10-tablet-ics-firmwares/

NOTE: On my PC the USB Drivers didn't recognise my tab (probably just my PC and O/S, SO I downloaded these "EasyTether" USB drivers http://www.mobile-stream.com/easytether/android.html and they worked fine.

You may, or may not need to do the same with your tab/PC.

Hi Mitre

You can select Adobe Flash Player 11in the (new Stylee, Android 4) Market Place, it installs it but it doesn't work.

I've not noticed any difference in battery life, although, to be fair it's still early days. I would say the device runs at the same tempreture as before, I certainly wouldn't say it gets any hotter.

Hi rayhertford,

Thanks for the info, I am pleased that you are happy with ICS - For me this is a no go, as I want to be able to stream films from blinkbox.com - which I can at the mo' on the Excel and they look great, just as we all know the audio is out of sync, but that is better than no flash at all for me.

I guess I want my Ice Cream Sandwich and eat it -

Charlie

Send me the instructions on how to get this file and I will. I'm a bit new to all this android stuff you know! Digital satellite TV encryption is more my cup of tea!
