Trying to Find a Way to Fix Lip-Sync on Excel 2.3.4

Postby Charlie » January 24th, 2012, 3:34 pm

Hi guys,

Sorry for another thread on this topic, but this one is for everyone to discuss how we can find our own fix for this issue, without having to move to a ICS rom.

Yes this is a biggy, but if we all pull our knowledge together then maybe we just might crack it. Failing that we just might crackup.

The ICS rom does not have this issue, so I am waiting to look at the build.prop (for a start) - as there might be code in there we need, also I have a feeling that there might be missing and/or incorrect files in the system/lib (maybe elsewhere too) - I could be completely wrong, but it's a start and I feel that it's better than just hoping for a ICS rom with the audio fix but with also working flash.

Great idea, if a generic ICS build fixes the problem then it sounds like a flaw with the 2.3 build, possibly a dodgy driver. Is it possible to lift the driver out of ICS ?

My eyes are going Google - ever since I got my Excel I have been searching all over the web to find a fix or ideas to try, but nothing yet - I mush have searched the WHOLE web by now

Well you never now it could be something very simple - Like the issue with the build.prop was just a missing ; Yep 1 damn missing semi-colon - doh (I had never seen a build.prop coded like that before)

UPDATE:

Found this quote on a forum about a HTC

My version - out the box - with no problems is "AND 10,1,72,7"
(The Updated Problematic out of sync version displays as "AND 10,1,106,16")

This is a long shot, but everyone should give it a try. Uninstall current flash, (make sure auto-update for Flash is not ticked in market), install version 10.1.72.7 and reboot and test.

UPDATE 2:
I just have to find that version of flash. it's here if you want to try it

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18307166/Adobe_ ... 1.72.7.apk

But now when I go to flash sites - it's tells me to install flash - I really hate Flash at times.

UPDATE 3:

Tried all versions of Flash 10.3.xxx.xx and it makes no difference.

Flash player 11 has just been released from Adobe. I installed it, unfortunately it does not fix the lip sync issue.

libOmxAacEnc.so
libOmxAdpcmDec.so
libOmxAmrDec.so
libOmxAmrEnc.so

libOmxMpeg4Dec.so
libOmxQcelp13Enc.so
libOmxQcelpDec.so

I was on that site a few hours ago, looking at how someone had taken their novo7 apart - to resolder a lose speaker wire, to fix sound gone from the speaker.

Did not see the info, you have linked to tho' - I will have a quick look now.

Cheers
