@suggsy89 - great idea about uploading the apps... I've just had a play with your Allwinner Mod and I think you're right about it being ICS only... just tried it on GB and got ' Parse error... There is a problem parsing the package'. No problem, I'll install it when I move to ICS.

Thanks

Thanks so far guys.
Excuse the ignorance but how would i sideload from my motorola phone? Sounds intriguing.

It's still annoying and frustrating that google play doesn't like my excel but my colleague's essential works fine!!

I will have a look at those apps on the other thread, nice one.

if you want the apps on the other thread easyest way is to view the page from your excel then clik the download link from there. the download will then be on your device and you should be able to navigate to each app with es-file explorer click an app and you will be able to install you need to allow apps from other sorces in settings but you usually get prompted to do this

Motorola aps best way i find is to get astro file manager from market on motorola and excel then get the apps you want on motoreola then open Astro /tools do a backup of your apps (make shure the destination folder for astro is the removable card you can do this in the app settings)
then on your sd card you will have a folder called backups insie is a folder called apps and there they all are
either plug your phone into pc to copy the contents of Backups/apps
or remove card and place in pc to copy Backups/apps
you can then trensfer them to excell hoever you want
box app or just put the card in your excell
once backup/apps is on excel you can restore the backed up apps
job done
WHAT DO WE WANT?
A TIME MACHINE!
WHEN DO WE WANT IT?
IT DOESN'T MATTER
