That's true!... I was referring to the 'how to check my Excel is rooted' bit.
I think I'm going to leave the phone files in place (even if I knew where to find them)... there seems to be some risk with causing unintended problems elswhere and I don't want to risk bricking my Excel. I might attempt it when I understand more about Android. If it was Windows, no problem!
