ok ....i've had the 7" scroll just over a week and in that time the battery as stopped charging, the camcorder mic as packed up,it gets that hot you could fry an egg on it, it switches it self off when it feels like it..so at the minute i am pretty pi--ed off..it's gone back to ebuyer today....

Unfortunately i bought 2 8inch v2 ,7weeks on after trying to unsuccessfully for 2 weeks to contact the supplier (SHD ONLINE direct and via amazon uk also storage options about the problems i am getting,no keyboard function, clock calender, wifi, market, not charging and something loose inside etc etc etc,one of the items was clearly a pre used unit complete with dents missing screws and previous account history Both are now consigned to the tool shed as it appears that shd and scroll options are not intending to honor the warranty by ignoring all emails unfortunately work commitments prevent me from taking this matter any further legally so the aforementioned companies CONGRATULATIONS on the scam and i will do my utmost to ensure this goes on web next week
So the question regarding what i think about the scroll should be quite evident

After the first one refused to hold a charge and subsequent arguing with eBuyer about getting my keyboard/case sent back to me, well it's OK.

I bought it purely as an ebook reader as the elderly Clie I was using had too small a screen for me old eyes. It does that fine. Plus if I feel the need when insomnia strikes I can do a bit of surfing or watch a movie. But always within easy reach of the mains 'cos the battery life is rubbish. I've rooted and disabled phone functions, as well as getting ES Startup Manager to suppress more progs, but 48 hours on standby and it's flat. Poor.

But for the price I'm pretty happy!

Is there anyway to make it easier to use? I.e. when I download things the small memory fills up way too fast and means I can only download one thing at a time and then have to move it to the larger 8gb flash (which I'm not convinced works that well)
I plugged a card reader into it and it sometimes works sometimes not (can't read music/films)

It's like it could of been made to work so easily but they have gone out of their way to make things a lot trickier .
