Battery Charges through USB!

A Nice feature that i have just found is that the scroll can be charged through the USB port which is something that some of the higher priced tablets don't do! Another feature that makes the scroll better than other same priced tablets!

This is one for the Scroll without a doubt! Everything I do is PC related and most of it connects, and charges, by USB. I didn't want to ask as I didn't want to be disappointed again. This news is gladly received, thanks!

Now if only they can give me internet access through my configuration.

Don't forget that it will take a lot longer to charge via USB.

USB is 5v as well. Shouldn't take any longer.

How long did you guys charge the first time?

There's less current available from USB (500mA) than there is from the supplied adapter (2000mA), so it will take longer... On paper at least. I haven't actually measured the current draw when plugged in.

I charged mine for a good 8 hours, i was using it during this time too.

It's a huge bonus to be able to charge through USB without a proprietary power supply. It doesn't seem to take much longer either - the screen seems to stay off, like normal standby mode. When I initially used the supplied charger, the screen stayed on.

I had it plugged into USB most of yesterday and because I was using it at the same time, it was just keeping the tablet at around 13% - it could not charge and allow me to use it at the same time

But at least it has got enough juice to allow constant use

I found that my mains charger wasnt working soooo i now use the USB cable plugged into an ac plug (with usb adapter ) Either that or send it back and i wasnt prepared to do that ....sorted!
