Hello everyone,

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Amy. I had the honour of being Dave's (Fonefixer) partner for 15 years.

First of all, I must sincerely thank you all for the very kind messages his family and I received. By way of a small thank you to you all, we would like to offer all forum members the chance to win Dave's own Scroll Excel in its box, with all the accessories. Dave often used to say that without this forum and its dedicated members, there would be little or no support for these tablet pc's.

Our idea is simple. Any forum member who donates to Dave's charity via Paypal before 6p.m. (UK time) Monday 12th March will have their forum name written on a piece of paper which will go into a hat. We will then ask his eldest Grandson to pick a name at random. The winner will receive Dave's scroll excel by post when his Son returns to the UK on Tuesday of next week. We do not feel it is right to set a minimum donation level, as we feel Dave would not have done.

When donating, could you please make sure you put your forum username in the "message" field on Paypal. If you are the winner, we will contact you directly for your postal address.

How sad.

I've been a lurker here for the past month or so and have spent many a happy hour reading Dave's posts. I just wish I'd joined sooner so I'd had the chance to get to know him a little. All the best with his send off and deepest sympathy to those he leaves behind.

Your names are both on the list. We will shortly be speaking to the GDBA Head Office next week regarding the possibility of getting a plaque put up in his memory.

Sending them cheques is not a problem. However, we would think it slightly easier for us to send one cheque for the whole amount when the lottery is finished otherwise the donations and who they are for may not match up. This is why we suggested Paypal.
