There are some conflicting views in my family Is it as 'grim-ace' as in sim or 'grime-ace' as in time

It's grim-ace, only know that as it's what my Dad used to do before he died due to a stroke. The doctors and nurses used to say it to us when they thought he was in pain. Hope that helps

Think yourself lucky you dont speak Arabic! an "a" is pronounced as such, but "aa" is pronounced as in "e"

Arabic not my forte but Spanish can throw up some odd pronunciations too! So, why the hell do we say grime-ace???
