Hi Guys

Saw this twitter watch item a few minutes ago..........................

The slightly crazed Twitter feed of Samsung Firmware is claiming that an official Android 2.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy Apollo will appear soon, with a European launch set to start in certain regions over the next month.

The Samsung Firmware men and women claim an Android 2.2 update for the Apollo will appear via KIES in “one month” – but it plans to have an unofficial leaked version ready for download and direct installation by owners this evening.

The visual proof:

android 22 update\" src=\"http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/7725/c5b13samsunggalaxyapoll.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"257\" />

The Galaxy Apollo’s a nice little Android phone, with a top-quality three.2″ capacitive touchscreen and Samsung’s standard implementation of DivX and Xvid codecs for great media support. We liked it really much. One running Android 2.2 would be superb.

@ FONEFIXER. any news yet of the 2.2 coming our way ?????

Worth finding local stores and calling in, even obtain a few local numbers and getting one reserved for you to pick up........they are not supposed to do it, but thats how I got mine

@Scope
It shouldn't be long now. I have a froyo on mine that is one of the last betas and it works very well.
I should warn you guys not to load it by other means than kies. because kies will not recognize the handset as legit once done.
One thing has annoyed me, it was released in India two days ago - damn call centre workers get it before we do!

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

This forum should really have a Wealth Warning!!!! ;) ;)

Having been convinced by this forum that I should buy a Pulse Mini, I have now been out and bought an Apollo :D Actually from my local CPW shop in Louth, Lincolnshire, (who btw have more in stock) paid the online price and was served by a very helpful and knowledgeable fellow. He suggested the cheapest option, Vodaphone and confirmed it was SIM free. Currently charging.

Now my Galaxy Tab has a little friend :shock:
