Just checked the Samsung UK website product registration page and it shows a download for a manual entitled 'Quick Guide(Froyo_United Kimdom,Cyprus)' with a release date, today May 13th!!

Not, I might add, my spelling mistake :)

Just checked my work system. Manual has indeed been updated. I've pinged yet another enquiry to the noodle- noshers.

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

I think froyo is released for i5800 unlocked in UK although my kies isn't still showing any updates. Some people are reporting to have updated on this forum:

http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy ... llo-4.html

I am not sure how could it be that some people can update while other can?

Can anyone here confirm froyo?

According to the list of upgrades available through kies I can see its not there for xeu handsets. May be a wind up. I'll keep checking when I have time and see if it appears.

Viki, can you ask on that forum what version they have been upgraded to please? I need the pda, phone and csc version numbers.also are their handsets xeu or provider locked.

Dumb Questions
Firstly does any one know a program to install for voice calling on this phone. I know about google voice search but there does not appear to be anyway of saying "CALL HOME " etc. This is unusual because I have had cheapo phones before with this feature installed.
Secondly how can I back up all my settings and installed apps ? When I use KIES the backup bit is greyed out.
Advice most welcome

Fonefixer shouts "APPMONSTER"!

Does that help with your backup issue? :D
