Battery Booster

This App works well to improve battery performance. I found 3 items consumed battery when I first got my Scroll, Cell- Very high (not required), Display- dependant on setting and Wi-Fi. I do not want to root my Scroll at this present time. With Battery booster I have it set to boot up the Scroll in Airplane mode. This turns off Cell and Wi-Fi at start up. You can then turn on Wi-Fi when you need to. When I now check Battery use I only ever get Display and Wi-Fi, no more pointless Cell use. I also like the fact you can turn the Display brightness right down to say 3%, good for night time use and extends the Battery time. It has a good set of Set up options. It has proved stable and really works. I downloaded this App via Slide-Me.

Thanks for pointing this one out Andy!
I had issues when I previously renames the phone apk files (which basically does the same thing as this app - puts it in airplane mode). I have a slightly later firmware version than you and it works fine on my unit.

This is a great app to have!
Saves all the naffing around renaming apk files to get the same results. The only criticism I have is that the battery indicator it uses is just as jumpy as the scrolls standard one. I just checked and there's an update to V2.7 posted on March 11th, not sure of a changelog though....
It has saved me quite a bit of battery power with a lot less hassle!

Glad to hear you find it useful Fonefixer. Agree with the Batt indicator. After a charge I do get 100% followed very shortly by 85% of which it remains at for a good time. It seems to drop level info in chunks!
It does allow easy control of battery power and improves life all round!

Am I doing something wrong? I downloaded and installed Battery Booster. How do I get it to turn "airplane mode" on at boot-up or even manually? I can find the setting so airplane mode is [supposedly] turned on when the battery is low but not at any other time. Even when Battery Booster is running, if I look at the battery usage (via setting -> about device) it still shows approx 75% of battery usage is "cell standby".
I am running on a vanilla, un-rooted 1.02 device.

In the "Battery Tweak Tab":
Calibration Notification - leave alone - should be disabled.
"On Device Lock"
Turn off wifi - ticked
Turn off bluetooth - ticked
Turn on airplane mode - ticked
"On device unlock" - all unticked
"Smart battery saver" - ticked
"security level" - low
It will also repeatedly play a bloody annoying voice prompt when the battery is full and charger connected - to disable it untick "enable battery full beep"

I'll try those settings.
I didn't realise you had to wait for the device to go into standby / lock mode for "airplane mode" to be activitated.
I also found I had v2.5 so I'l update to v2.7 as well.
Thanks

What I did was use the settings above then rebooted the scroll - then works fine.
V2.7 puts a batt temp indicator as well as batt level in notification bar - you can disable it in settings.

Upgraded to v2.7, set the settings you suggested, let the device lock, unlocked and rebooted (just to be sure). All work fine now.
Thank again
