Apps I'd suggest are

Dolphin browser, much better than default.
Taskiller
Gameboid (gameboy advance emulator)
Aldiko (book reader)
Jewels (game)
Android System Info (gives you detailed info about the tab)

I can't get psx4droid to work though, so if anyone has managed this how did you do it?

Thanks for your app advice guys! Here's an idea, if everyone would post their BEST and favourite apps on here, I could compile a 'must have' list from all your comments and make a sticky thread in the tips/tricks forum in a few days/weeks time.

As a must have package for fiddlers: Visionary (temp root), Root Explorer, Terminal, Titanium Backup Pro :D

@Veng,

Can using Visionary (temp root) mess up or worse brick the scroll if used incorectly?

No, it will be back to normal after a reboot.

Not sure if you use it to remove loads of system files though.

If you press Volume Up whilst booting you can access the maintenance menu and reset to factory anyway. But not sure if that would restore files or just clean out the user data.

Rule of thumb, don't root unless there is a good reason :)

I've used Temp Root a few times on the Scroll now.

I think the only issue would be if you then use that root access to hack about in the main operating system.
