I have just purchased the 7" scroll tablet to replace my dead PDA, could anybody tell me if there is any PDA apps available and also what firmware has been released. Maybe there is a list.

What sort of apps do you mean?

Can you describe the ones you loved on your PDA, there usually is an Android equiv.

A diary, notepad, small database and todo list. My wife is disabled and takes over 40 tablets a day, so i have to keep track of them for repeat scripts and she also has a lot of appts for clinics, doctors and for the hospital.

Diary : Calender app (pre-installed) provides a very useful diary with day/week and month view as well as ability to set alarms for appointments.

Notepad/Todo List : Colornotes (free from market) is my personal choice, allows you to make post-it note type notes as well as tick-off to-do lists, can also be added as a widget to your home screen - http://www.androidzoom.com/android_appl ... _bejc.html

Database - there was a database system available on the market, but it seems to have since been removed, you might be able to find the apk using google if you do a little searching - the website for it is still up - http://www.androiddatabase.info/

Thank you for the help i only got the machine yesterday. can you use the calender when off line if you can it would be very helpfull.

Yes, I've only used it occasionally, but it does keep a local copy of your appointments on the tablet as well as syncing with google calender once you've synced your gmail/googlemail account.

if you search for "medicine reminder" in the market, there are apps specifically for your needs.
