Replacement Adaptor

Postby thehoodedclaw » March 13th, 2011, 10:30 pm

The pin has always been loose on mine since I brought it and yesterday it stayed in the scroll when I unplugged it

So now I need a new adaptor, any ideas? The one on the storage options is a tenner, seems a bit steep to me. Anyone know of any multi adaptor or similar item.

TIA, thc

This might be a warranty job, contact SO and ask them.

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

Unfortunatley I stripped the sheilding back on it in a desperate attempt to repair it before a flight back home. Not sure that's an option now. :?

Brought a new power plug to solder on in the end. £1.59 from Maplin
Code is L43AY if anyone needs one in the future.

Thanks to help from Mitre elsewhere in the forum, I can confirm a multi-voltage adapter can be used when set to 5v Center-Positive.

This sort of thing:

7" scroll
FW v1.01, Android 2.1, Market Fixed, ClockWorkMod, PMT renamed.
Charges from 5v multi-voltage adapter, centre-positive.
