Scroll Excel Case (Wenger)

Hi all,

Just came across this case for the Excel - It looks decent and at a fair price.

P.S - I know it says for Excel only - but I am sure the 1st gen Scroll should fit in it (not guaranteed tho')- as both of those devices seem to have the same dimensions as the new Excel.

UPDATE: The 1st gen Scroll does NOT fix in this case - (still to test with the Excel)

What made you go for the one from Play at £20.86?

The one at play was 11.99 too (sold by play) maybe I bought their last one and now only the more expensive one from another vendor is only available.

P.S - ebay have one at a whopping £36 !

If anyone else is after one, Amazon have currently got them (Dispatched from and sold by Amazon.co.uk.) at £11.99 'only 4 left'.

Well I hope the excel fits in it ok, I don't have a great success rate in cases, I either get ones that are too small or to big.

It does not help when manufacturers either don't list the dimensions or list the wrong ones.

I know what you mean, I've ordered and returned more cases than I can remember.

I've just received a sock for the Excel... meant to fit snugly, but it's waaay too big! How hard can it be for a supplier to list the dimensions and get them right?

Don't even get me started on laptop rucksacks!

Hope the Wenger works out.

Feeling more positive, as I have just read a post about someone saying, their Archos 70 fitted into this wenger case. According to the specs that tablet is: 201 x 114 x 10 mm – 300 grams / (7.91 x 4.49 x 0.43 - 11 oz)

Exactly, I got the Wenger model in that link. It fits like a glove (really, like it was made for the archos 70) and is very protective while not being bulky. I highly recommend that case to anyone looking!

just waiting for both the excel and case... so I can find out for sure.

Catch my post about my 99p sleeve from the '99p Store' in the High Street. You buy the 11" Laptop sleeve your scroll fits sideways in it. You can then fold over and tuck it in. Looks cool I guess and for 99p its a lot cheaper....

Just got the case today from play - It is very nice, feels/looks well made. Will post some photos later.

As I am waiting for the Excel to arrive, I have tested to see if the 1st gen Scroll will fit. It does NOT, its very tight and leaves 5-7mm exposed making it impossible to zip up the case.

I am confident that the excel will fit (even though, the published size for that device is shown as the same as the 1st gen Scroll) - but members (excel & Mitre) kindly measured their Excel's and say it is 195mm x 120mm x12mm
not the published size of 203mm x 132mm x 12mm
