Yeah so on one of my previous threads I tried tagging someone with the @(insert username) function but it didn't work?

A function used across many social networking sites & forums, why not on here?

Because the modification hasnt been added to the board..

Don't mean to be picky, but that's an explination not a reason?

the board runs on phpbb software which doesnt have the functionality built in. to do the tagging a modification would have to be added to the boards code to allow the tagging.

There we go, never mind then.

If this is something many users would like, leave a reply saying so and i'll see what I can do.

I found a mod for my forum that "can" do it but it only sends pm's and is unreliable at the moment.

Not a good idea - I don't want loads of PMs just typing @ manually will do, I think???

TBH - I not sure what the benefit of this mod is - maybe someone can shed some light on it?
