As a new Scroll / Android user am I missing something?

The version of FBReader that came with my tablet seems to be quite old (v0.6). The SlideMe market/site gives the option to update. It seems to download OK and asks if I want to install but the install then fails.

I also tried downloading the apk, copying it to the tablet and installing using the App Installer. Again it recognised the file as an update to the installed version but failed to install.

Has anybody managed to install an update to FBReader?

Appreciate any advice.

PS I am using v1.02s firmware (unrooted)if that makes a difference.

I had that on mine
Remove and install from the market then it updates fine

There is another way. If you google for "fbreaderj" you will be directed to the authors page that has direct links to the newest version apk file. Simply download and install on your scroll - no need to use the market.
