Im sure im missing something obvious!

Im having trouble downloading apps. i downloaded angry birds to my comp then drop it into my scroll (in the sd card memory) but i cant find it on my scroll, its not in the app installer.

Also i have put some tv programs on there but only 5 out of 7 work? they are the same type of file.. any ideas?

Make sure you are not just searching the internal memory (NAND)
With app insaller open select menu then scan folder change to /sdcard you should find it now

Thank you very much! i found it, but when i tried to open it it says 'parse error there is a problem parsing the package'

Not sure would need one of the more experienced chaps to answer that, may be a bad file
Downloaded mine via the market and it worked fine.
Not sure if you are aware Angry Birds is not perfect on the scroll the game runs fine but the menus are all blank

parse error = duff package (normally). try re-downloading it.
