Market: Server Error has occurred

Following on from successfully recovering my scroll yesterday by loading clockwork recovery img and Warpedflash's latest update I have now discovered that my previously working market returns an error message "Server error has occurred...." I have tried rebooting etc but to no avail. I have seen other posts reporting market problems but not this one. I have a gmail account and have tried various combination of sync but still have the problem. Any ideas??

Odd. The only time I get that message is when I'm not connected to WiFi.

I have a gmail and another email account both working. My browser works as well so the scroll is definitely seeing the internet. I did a clockwork back up this morning before I actually tried the market. I will try a restore and see if it makes any difference.

Not sure I want to be in this club! :(
I'm still an android novice (3 weeks) but presumably the market application is either pointing at the wrong internet IP address or is not supplying a valid "signature" to the server and is getting bounced. If the scroll pretended to be another device which has a legitimate Google license would that work?

Has anyone tried running adb logcat while trying to access the market?

Being you are v1.00, you shouldn't be having this problem.

yes we have tried logcat it gets a connection error.
yes its pretending to be another device already

Three little piggies went to the market, two got there but the poor little piggy who had root got stuck behind a wall! :lol:

Maybe the Market app is checking and if it finds a rooted device wont allow access to the market?
