Hi Oldone, sounds like you know a bit about Linux and the like from your intro in new members area so I guess you are a bit peed off at the moment having done all the right things and ended up with a non functioning tablet.

If my memory serves me correctly the 51951 8" Scroll model was based on Telechips Arm 11 CPU with a display of 800x600 on a resiistive screen and only 256Mb of ram. I don't think your will find much support for this older tablet but you are welcome to try downloading the 2.3 Gingerbread firmware from here

Hi TrashCooky

Thanks for the reply, what happend was I was having trouble using various apps on the tablet and then found I could not download any apps as well so went to storage options web site and downloaded the update from the site, installed it and now the tablet will not boot.

So I tried the link you posted downloaded it and ran it the message I got was it installed but the tablet will still not boot, so I thought I would put linux (Ubuntu/Touch) on it but I can not get either windos or linux to show the tablet when it is connected, now every site says to enable usb debuging but I can not do that as it looks to me as though I do not have an OS on the tablet any more.

So if anybody here has any tips or advice I would be very greatful.

All the best
