Hello peeps

I have a rooted scroll which appears to have wifi problem. I received the scroll at work and it detected the wifi connection fine. However, once I am back at home it fails to detect my flat's router which is a netgear, but could detect two other neighbours wifi connections. I am dumbfounded and no idea how to resolve this. I hope someone out there can help. I have a fw 1.00

Thanks!

Which netgear do you have? I have a DGN2000 that is set to WPA2- AES and access list is enabled. Scroll works fine on this. Mind you... the scroll only picks up wifi properly if its in the same room as the router (even though router is N-rated)

The Scroll is b/g rated. I have 3 routers in my house and the one the Scroll is on is a Netgear WGR614. My bedroom is upstairs on the other end of the house from my office and the Scroll doesn't loose WiFi there. I just tested and was able to walk across the street from my house and down the road about 60ft before the WiFi went down to no bars. I never lost connection. I use WPA-PSK.

There are unadvertised network options. Goto Wireless and Networks > WiFi Settings and the hit the menu icon or button. There you can see your MAC address and set your WiFi Sleep Policy as well as choose to use a static IP (as opposed to DHCP) which lets you manually set your IP, gateway, netmask and DNS servers (I use Virgin's: 194.168.4.100/8.100).

Don't forget if you've used the build.prop v3 from in here then the WiFi seek time has been changed from 30secs to 120secs so it may take a wee bit longer to find it.

you can always manually add the network if you know its ssid (name) just click add network ass opposed to waiting for it to show up... how I added mine lol

Hi peeps and wow you guys really go the extra mile to help! Ie Diego walking out of his house.

Unfortunately I am having the same problem, it found my flats router straightaway when I got back home today then my friend accidentally pressed the power button instead of the volume up and turned it off. Now it cannot find the wifi connection, it says "not in range, remembered". The tablet have been switched on and off several times since last night, so I had no problems since the initial post. At this present moment it finds my 2 neighbours wifi. It connected to my work wifi fine with no disconnections.

Im using Netgear WGR614 and I'm not sure if it is SSID or WEP because I did not set it up and I dont know how to check.

My wifi is set on never sleep policy and the mac address is 20.59.A0.06.99.92 and I use virgin broadband.

If this is a permanent issue I will have to send it back :(

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

P.S my flatmate used to have an android phone and he said he had the same problem and he couldnt fix it.
