Get a "Please insert disc" when using in two separate card readers...

Sounds like the SD is pooted.
If you r.click it under windows do you get the format option there? and if so, does it keep asking to insert disk when trying to format?

No

Trying to format (in my tomtom of all places!) I get "Windows Can't format M. Check to see the disk and drive are connected properly, make sure that the disk is not read only, and then try again."

And yes I've slid the lock tab on the adapter to "open".

bugger.

Ok I am now on Micro SD card no 2.

The good news is that I can see and format the card in my SD reader in windows - Fat 32.
The not so good news is that my scroll does not see it. Do I have to do a reset or something?
It is an 8GB card. Thus far formatted "Full" in windows as Fat 32 with default allocation size.

Anyone ?
