If I push the jack plug in really hard & hold it there, it will charge, but obviously, I can't stand there doing that for the time it would take to charge up
. For the moment, I'm using the USB connector to charge up, but that's not really practical for a permanent solution. I'm wondering if this is a common problem or if it's just me, and is there any solution please?

veedubya wrote:Many thanks for your reply. If it is caused by the charging socket having become detached, it should be covered by the guarantee as my tablet is only 5 months old. I'll try contacting the manufacturers to see if they will repair it free of charge.

Hope so for your sake - don't forget to let us know.

I've sent another email to the manufacturer.

Oh dear, sounds like our original diagnosis of the charging socket becoming detached from the circuit board may well be right then.
