do I need to download an Antivirus?

If so how when I cannot get the USB to PC / USB to Laptop to work - or does the scroll extreme come with an antivirus already loaded.

when you plug it in to pc click on the tablet "clock icon" bottom right, then click "USB connected" tab, then click
"turn on USB storage" tab
this should open the tablet as a device on your pc to copy files to

thanks but all that gives me is the date and time on a black background my internet connection and the Open Advanced Task Killer

Hi you can download antiviruses fron the android market free, there's avg which I'm running and avist which is very good as well. Have a look on play there's a few.

When you click on the clock at the bottom right if you don't get a dialogue showing usb connected then I would check your usb lead.
Do you get an audible ding-dong when you plug your tablet into your PC's usb ?
If you don't then there is a connection fault somewhere.

You don't say what model you have got?

thanks for answers its a scroll extreme 9.7 Android - ive tried the cabel in all 3 usb ports on my Toshiba Satellite L300-1BV plus one at the front of my pc tower. The tablet is picking up micro sd cards ok - both have been used in mobiles and contain photos etc, so that bit is okay.

thanks tattyhead64 ive just successfully downloaded the AVG antivirus - having this protection was more important than getting the usb connection to work - willask my son if he has same type but he has an ipad - he chose me the extreme as i needed flash

You do realise there is really no need for an anti-virus? Especialy AVG... Awww gawd... Save me now :lol:

There is no need for antivirus on android - most of them can't even read/have access to the areas which actually matter. It's a waste of money (if paid) or a waste of bandwidth (if free) or both. Bottom line - don't bother.
