We have bought a scroll tablet for my daughter for Christmas, we want to put some files including some epub format documents on the device but no matter what we try the device does not seem able to find them on the sd card. Any ideas?

I'll contact Storage Options and see what they say about these epub files.... let you know shortly.

Try the Aldiko Reader App, this supports epub files! You can download it from the Scrolls market app

@Fenrir - Storage Options have contacted me with a solution to this problem for you, here it is:

With regard to Epub docs you need to create a file called “Books” on your SD card. Then when in the fbreader app you need to press the physical menu button select More from the menu that appears then select Settings then Directory To Seek Books and type “\sdcard\Books” in the box which comes up. Your Scroll will now read books from your SD card.

Hope that works for you!
