Can Apps be installed on to the internal memory?

Hi All,

Can apps be installed on to the internal memory of the scroll (i.e. the 2GB of internal flash) rather than the standard applications area? The standard applications area is only about 150MB and so is filling up quickly.

I have bought a 16GB SD card and so have plenty of external storage for videos and music, so I'm trying to use the internal memory for something useful.

Any ideas?

From what I understand, it can be done in Android 2.2, but not 2.1

Im sure you could re-partition teh internal memory if ou really waned to try it... remove the /nand mount point and give system some more space.
I hav never tried it and have no idea how andoid will react though

I saw something mentioned in ClockworkMod about "Apps2SD"

Not sure if that is something we can download and install though

found this - not sure if it will help, but it's an interesting guide.

We shouldent have to use apps2SD tough lol.. why would anyone choose to mount part of teh internal memory as /nand... need to work on resizing the partitions internally so there is more space for system

There is 1.35GB free on the internal memory, but they only give us 150Mb for apps ? WTF is the rest of it for then ?

The internal nand(SD card?) is partitioned. the system partition is only 300mb of the 2gb space. the /nand mount is probably most of the rest I havent checked properly
