WiFi dropout problems

I have scroll 8 inch and have wifi dropout which seems to be a common problem. Other forums attribute it to overheating. But a software solution seems to be available . Seen a report that 2.3 fixes this. Now Storage Options have a 2.3 release for the currently shipped 8 inch tablet. I have emailed into the SO BLACK HOLE to get a copy but no response. Anyone got one of these with 2.3 and prepared to upload a copy of the firmware image. Thanks

The Scroll 8" you have, has the resistive type screen? I thought the new 8" Scroll you are referring to with 2.3, has a capacitive screen. - If so, using the OS from that machine will not work with your Scroll -

New Excel owner, also with wifi problems. How did you contact Scroll? Do they answer support questions in their own forums? Do they have a download area for updates? Thanks for any answers.

support@storageoptions.com worked for me on a different issue. I got a reply the following day.

Have you registered your device with Storage Options? I did and got an acknowledgement email including the above address. It was also in a post here from SO.

Thanks for the suggestions. I hadn't registered yet in case I sent the tablet back but will do so now and hope the wifi problem is solvable.
