Unable to download using Android market

Thats it in a nutshell its worked for me on 2 devices is this coincedence or am. I just lucky

Right - the solutions mentioned didnt work for me so seeing as i have no data on my scroll anyway ive done a factory reset.

Great - so ive got an "out of the box" scroll - install the market app and its working fine, downloads the lot.

BUT! The market i see now is displayed differently to the market that was not working so my question to you clever lot is does the market update itself in the background without prompting??? Surely the update could be what is causing the problems... otherwise why would the layout of the market change on its own???

I can try to get pics of what it looks like at the moment if its any use... or can i find version information from somewhere?

Hi guys i have fixed a third scroll v1.01 this time using the method below please try this.

Please remove SD card then factory reset your device, connect via WIFI and immidiately open google talk sign in to that, close it then open market, immediately goto a free app and just download it, open the download screen on market and dont close market wait until the free app you have just clicked on fully downloads and installed, then your free to exit market. Upon this exit it will install the new market update and should NOT get stuck on "Starting Download" you can then put your SD card back in

That would sound good if only my device had the market app at all. No market at all by the looks, even following market links does nothing, I just get the browser complain about not knowing how to handle the link...

Has anyone with v1.01 tried to load the launcher.apk (aka Home) that comes with v1.00?

I have copied the market apk off mine on to my PC @ home too so if anyone wants it i can send it over so you can try it out?

My problems started when the market update was installed - is there any way of stopping that update?
